Adoption is a beautiful way to build a family!
Southern Piedmont Adoptive Families of America, Inc. (SPAFA) is a network of adoptive parents dedicated to increasing adoption awareness, acting as an adoption resource, and offering emotional and educational support throughout the adoption journey. Our activities also extend to post-placement issues, such as how and when to talk with your child about his or her adoption.
SPAFA is the largest and most active adoption support group in North Carolina, with hundreds of active member families currently involved in the adoption process or who've already completed one or more adoptions.
Our goals include helping prospective adoptive parents explore the many adoption options available and helping them navigate the adoption process during their journey. The decisions people make with regard to their adoption are very personal. While only the adoptive parents can make these decisions, it often helps to hear the perspective and experience of someone who has traveled that path before you.
