Southern Piedmont Adoptive Families of America, Inc. (SPAFA) is the Charlotte, North Carolina affiliate chapter of Adoptive Families of America, a national non-profit adoption support group. With more than 250 member families, SPAFA members receive a number of benefits upon joining our organization:

Monthly newsletter

Monthly programs featuring adoption professions and adoption panels

Networking opportunities with other SPAFA members and agency presenters

Free entrance to all programs and SPAFA-sponsored workshops. First-time visitors and non-members may be asked to pay a nominal fee for attending any meeting or workshop

Social events where our families can interact with other adoptive families

Membership is open to all interested individuals without regard for gender, race, religious affiliation, or marital status. Membership applications are available at every meeting or you can download the form from this website.

SPAFA meets on the second Tuesday of every month in Uptown Charlotte at the Roman Catholic Diocesan Pastoral Center, 1123 South Church Street in Charlotte, North Carolina. Introduction to SPAFA begins at 6:00 p.m. Membership meetings/programs begin at 6:30 p.m. Annual dues are $40.00 per family or $120 per family for five years.
