Our Mission

Southern Piedmont Adoptive Families of America, Inc. (SPAFA) is a network of adoptive parents dedicated to increasing adoption awareness, acting as an adoption resources, and offering emotional and educational support throughout the adoption journey.

SPAFA does not discriminate in membership or policy on the basis of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, or political affiliation.  We are not a child-placing agency.  We do not endorse any agency or specific type of adoption.

Adoptive parents must take the initiative when choosing their adoption path and when selecting their adoption agency.  It is the adoptive parent’s/parents’ responsibility to verify that appropriate steps are taken in their own adoption proceedings.
